Masuria Museum – Owczarnia
The Museum in Owczarnia is situated 10km from Kętrzyn. It is located inside a former manor, in which old furniture, household appliances and agricultural machines(all from period 1845-1945) have been cumulated for more than 10 years. Unlike in traditional museums, visitors in this one can have direct contact with the vintage items. The Museum is also equipped with a large library featuring a collection of books about the former East Prussia and Masuria. The hosts offer to show around the Museum, to acquaint the guests with the history and the interior equipment, thematic sightseeing tours: the history of the region, Masurian furniture(small architecture) and the tasks in farmhouses (four seasons). Additional attractions are events and bonfires, which are organized with sleigh rides during winter.
